Hogsback

The town of Hogsback nestles on the slopes of the Amatola Mountains. It is renowned for its indigenous forests and its fairytale landscape. Rumour has it that JRR Tolkein was inspired in part by the Hogsback when he created the classic Lord of the Rings.

Hiking

There are a number of hiking trails that will take you into the forest and up the mountains and will lead you to waterfalls and beautiful views.
